QUESTIONNAIRE RESULTS

Status

After the mailing of Mayor Marchan's letter dated July 27, 2004, the City received over 100 returned questionnaires within 45 days. However, due to many reasons, the City had an over 10% return of letters as undeliverable. A large percentage was undeliverable due to insufficient or incorrect address information in the Appraisal District records. Several property owners have been out of town for extended periods. The City re-mailed questionnaires to new addresses, new owners, and other owners who had not responded. The City is currently attempting to finalize a complete owner and address list.

As of August 31, 2005 the City has received 135 completed property owner questionnaires. We estimate that approximately 70% of all owners have returned their questionnaires.

Of the completed questionnaires 106 or 79% have been favorable. The majority of these have been in favor of all aspects of the improvements proposed in Mayor Marchan's letter. Fourteen (14) or 10% have been tentatively favorable, but unsure. Fifteen (15) or 11% have been unfavorable.

The City will be reviewing and updating the property owner's list as the project continues.
